Ignore the case; the files are ace!

A score of 3 stars, because the case isn't that good, is unjustified if there's nothing wrong with the files and rasps themselves, especially since you could throw the case away and this would still be a good buy, compared with smaller sets or individual tools. In fact, I probably won't use the case, but keep the tools in my tool cabinet when I have thrown away all the ancient, blunt files and rasps that this set is replacing. As it happens, the case has evidently been redesigned (see my photo), with pockets for the blades and 'rip-tape' fasteners for the handles, so the tools go in and out quite easily. The whole set does, though, come in one of those horrid, stiff clamshell cases (see my other photo) that fight back as you struggle to open them.
Case needs more thought

Just bought this file set, and the files perform as they should.
The case though is useless, it could have been better thought out. Why not use velcro as a retainer, the same as you do for your chisels! In fact the files, are starting to file through the retainers. The zip also, is difficult to start. Come on Magnusson, put more thought into this case. I read the previous reveiwers comments, had i taken notice, i may not have bought this product. As i said the files are ok.
Good tools, useless case.

I bought this item yesterday. The files and rasps are great and well made. The case that comes with the set is not very well thought out as the material is wrecked by the rasps and it’s very difficult to put them away in the case without damaging the case which is a shame. I would give the tools 5 star but the case I would give 1 star.
